Vila Baia resort is situated in the village of Praia da Luz and is perfectly situated, being 200m from the beach and within easy walking distance into the village. Entrance to the resort is through an archway and once stepping through, you are met by the beautiful Roman style architecture and landscaped gardens laid to Cypress, Olive and Palm trees along with cluster borders of lavender.

Accommodation is based on 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouse apartments. These are all designed with your comfort in mind and are fitted with modern, fully equippped kitchens, under-floor heating and air conditioning (making them ideal for winter lets) electric shutters and a central vacuum system.

Apartments at the resort have a typical village feel, being located in three storey clusters, with each unit having it's own security system and underground parking with lift access to each floor.

The main leisure area provides two large pools and for children there is a childrens pool and separate playground area with slides. There are also two tennis courts, which are free to use but must be pre-booked first at reception plus you can book tennis lessons too. Within Praia da Luz is the sister resort, Estrela da Luz. Here you have access to their gymnasium and health and beauty spa, where you will benefit from a 50% reduction in gym membership prices. Please note that the gymnasium, situated at Estrela da Luz, is un-staffed. A Personal Training Service is available to clients who pre-book. Studio classes are not available.

The pool side snack bar provides light bites during the day time, or why not treat yourslef to some fine Italian Cuisine and wines from the the Italian themed restaurant? A gentle stroll afterwards through the extensive, tranquil gardens, close to the restaurant, is the perfect place to unwind.

With the striking backdrop view of Rocha Negra (black rock) at the end of the beach, Vila Baia resort is a wonderful place for that family holiday and makes an ideal base from which to explore the local area. The town of Lagos which is steeped in history is approximately 6km from the resort and is well worth a visit.
